Invest in Urban Talent

The BASE provides excellent athletic, educational, and career development programming to young people from Boston and surrounding communities. Our work enables these talented youth to achieve their goals on and off the field, from attending and graduating from college to pursuing and attaining professional careers. With talent, hard work, and access to opportunities, they move forward toward financial independence, and their place as Boston’s next generation of leaders.

Nine years after opening our doors, our earliest student-athletes have become our young professional alumni. And while we celebrate our successes, we have only just begun to shine the light on the potential our young people bring to our communities and region. As we look to our 10th anniversary, we have set ambitious, but measurable and achievable goals for our impact on local youth.

Looking to 2023, we are focused on our goals to uplift Urban Talent:

  • Expand the pipeline of student-athletes participating in The BASE programs to 2,000
  • Grow the talent pool to over 500 BASE Alumni matriculating to college earning over $100M in academic scholarships
  • Ensure long-term success for BASE Alumni with 70% graduating from college and/or finding meaningful employment.

As an organization that relies solely on contributed support and community partnerships, your investment will be the underpinning for The BASE’s significant growth and expansion of services over the coming years.

When you invest in urban talent at The BASE, you invest in the future of our community.

My brother Paul and I have seen for ourselves the incredible work that goes on at The BASE. The lives that are changed there, how the focus is every bit as much on academics and life skills as it is on baseball. The BASE’s motto is “success lives here” and that’s not just anecdotal. They have the numbers to back this up.
